Why Magneto Was Right All Along

master mentalism tricks

In the world of the X-Men, mutants face discrimination, threats, and sometimes even potential extermination. In response, mutants are generally given two options: The path of Professor Xavier, who argues for peaceful coexistence with the rest of humanity, and Magneto, who believes that the rest of society will not allow mutants to survive.

X-Men movies typically portray Xavier as the hero and Magneto as the villain, but … maybe they’re wrong? And maybe Magneto was right and had a point about how mutants and humans could not live side-by-side? In our latest Marvel video, we look at the long history of X-Men movies to see how Magneto’s actions and philosophy are proven to be correct or incorrect, with some pretty surprising results. We look at both the original Magneto, played by Ian McKellen, as well as the one from the First Class series, played by Michael Fassbender. Watch it below:

If you liked that video on why Magneto was right all along (and why he should have been the leader of the X-Men), check out more of our videos below, including our look at why Agatha was the true hero of WandaVision, why Thanos might have had a whole point in Avengers: Infinity War, and why Loki was a hero long before he got his own television series.
