Exclusive Interview with Erin Cosgrove

Hi Erin – thank you for talking with me today. I’m such a fan of your music and your image. When did you break into the music industry?  

Awe thank you so much! It’s really rewarding to hear that I have fans! From when I can remember I’ve always been singing and writing little jingles here and there. My mom said when I was 4-5 years old I used to walk around the house singing making up tunes! I think I can say I officially broke into the “industry” when I moved to LA. I had a song on the TV show “Parenthood” and actually had the privilege of performing it on the show as well! At that point I thought, “Ok, I can do this!!” 

Where are you from? Do you still live there and either way does your hometown have an effect on your music? 

I’m originally from the Tampa Bay area in Florida! I’ve since left Florida to pursue my acting and music career and I just moved to Nashville from LA a few months ago! As far as an effect on my music, I’m not sure, but I do my parents post to Facebook all the time so everyone back home is always updated on what I’m doing whether they like it or not lol!

Do you have any new releases in the works?

Yes! We will be releasing a song (possibly an EP) this Summer! Stand by for the official date!

Aside from your own – what has been your favorite song released so far this year?

Definitely has to be Kane Brown “One Mississippi”! It’s such a catchy tune! And I love how it’s got a lot of dynamics to it!

Your fashion is next level – name your favorite clothing piece or accessory you have currently?

I truly appreciate that comment because Fashion has never been my strong suit! lol!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to have my sister dress me! I’ve definitely gotten better at finding those “Next trends” though! I’d say some of my favorites are ASOS, Shein, Princess Poly, Pedal & Pup and then those random one offs you find on Instagram, Tik Tok and Amazon! I like to be bold, but still stay trendy!
