Exclusive Interview with Mark Vogel

We are chatting with Mark Vogel today, welcome!

Tell us how this year is kicking off for you? Any new projects?

2022 is off to the best start ever.  I’m in a 3 picture movie deal to score a trilogy of horror/comedies for WallyBird Productions.   I’m also in the midst of 3 records that I’m producing.  Of course, that alone could fill the year, but you asked about new projects, so here it is.  There has been a lot of press about THE FOUR TOPS taking their story to Broadway in a new musical, and I’m working on that project right now.  In fact, yesterday, we had an epic recording session.  I have a different role in this project as a music producer, and I’ll be sharing more and more about that this spring.  I’m honored to be working with legends on this one.

Chat with us about your next music release. You are always throwing amazing curveballs to us. What can we expect from you with your next release?

I’m going to release a cover from FULL HOUSE.  It’s called “A Little More Love” and it’s a song that John and I wrote together for the episode, “The King and I”.  I’ve always loved this song and it’s been awesome working on the cover.

What is the best advice you can give to anyone in the industry that may be feeling down or that wants to give up?

Oo, I love this one, and I tell this a lot, but I truly believe it’s the best advice.

Artists: You have to remember that this is a job. If you were to get a job at a local fast food restaurant, you would work 8 hours a day with a break for lunch and maybe a couple of 15 minutes breaks.  Since the fast food job most likely isn’t your dream, why not give you ‘dream’ that much time?  Work every day.  Regular hours.  If you worked at the restaurant, and sat on your phone instead of doing your job, you might be fired.  Work that hard towards your own goal, and the next thing you’ll know is…you didn’t give up!

Tell us your personal favorite music release in 2021 and why!

I released a song called THIS IS THEIR TIME.  It’s a song I wrote with Barry Anderson for the Vietnam Veterans.  Tim Steven is producing a special on The Wall That Heals, and this song will be a part of that.  I’m very proud of the song and the video, please check it out on my youtube channel.
