Limp Bizkit + Steel Panther Members Show Off Serious Dad

It was the summer of 2021 when concerts started coming back, the Olympics were scheduled to get underway and then suddenly Fred Durst captured the imagination of the world with his new “Dad Vibes” look ahead of Limp Bizkit‘s Lollapalooza performance. Suddenly a Limp Bizkit renaissance took place with the arrival of the long-awaited Still Sucks album, and now nearly a year later we’re finally getting a “Dad Vibes” video, with some pretty sweet “dad moves” to boot.

Dubbed the “unofficially” official “Dad Vibes” video, the Funky Moses-directed clip finds the band members hanging out on a sunny day poolside at a palatial estate, hitting play on the boombox and showing off their best dance moves as the infectious “Dad Vibes” beat roles out.

We already knew drummer John Otto could dance, thanks to his recent appearance on CBS’ Come Dance With Me with his daughter. But what about the rest of the band? Well, Fred Durst, with his familiar wavy white hair, pale yellow shirt, red-tinted sunglasses and light brown pants comes down from the terrace with a funky step to join the rest of his party in the “get down,” showing off some wicked Rick Astley-styled moves. He later serves up some “Charleston”-era “bees knees.”

Several of the band members attempt their “ride the pony” dance. Wes Borland gives viewers a little breakdancing “worm” routine with his arms, and just for good measure, Steel Panther‘s Michael Starr and Stix Zadinia turn up with tennis rackets showcasing a few moves of their own.

Simply put, it’s just a good time. “Dad Vibes” all around. No shame in their game. As the message states at the end of the video, “Let’s be kind to everything and everyone.”

Limp Bizkit’s Still Sucks is out now, and after initially shutting down touring after last year’s Lollapalooza performance as COVID started to spike again, Fred Durst and the rest of Limp Bizkit are ready to finally hit the road in support of the new album. Dates start April 28 in Tampa, Florida. Get more info on the run here.
