Epix is expanding its library as the network’s president Michael Wright unveiled a whole slate of documentary titles and scripted series in development during their TCA presentation.
Following the recent renewal of Godfather of Harlem, Epix is gearing up for the arrival of two new series as they teased Billy the Kid and FROM during the event, as well as announced orders for documentaries Women Who Rock, The Making of a Haunting: The Amityville Murders, and Season 2 of the docuseries NFL Icons.
The development slate features potential renewals for shows like Condor, Chapelwaite, and Domina, which are all developing new seasons alongside a wealth of new titles that could join Epix’s current lineup that includes War of the Worlds, Bridge & Tunnel, SAS: Rogue Heroes, and Britannia.

Women Who Rock is a four-part docuseries about the female pioneers in music and will feature appearances by Nancy Wilson, Chaka Khan, Pat Benatar, Mavis Staples, Sheila E, Norah Jones, and Tori Amos among others. Meanwhile, The Making of a Haunting: The Amityville Murders is another four-part docuseries that shines a light on the true crime that turned into the horror story sensationalized by many. In Season 2 of NFL Icons, the individuals who will be featured include Walter Payton, Troy Aikman, Jimmy Johnson, Cris Carter, and many more. Follow them as they reflect on their careers and milestones as changemakers in the NFL.

Currently in the development stage are the aforementioned Chapelwaite Season 2, Condor Season 3, and Domina Season 2 as well as Hotel Cocaine, Black Harvest, American Classic, Tails of a London Dog-Walker, and docuseries Sessions, Hollywood Black, and San Francisco Sounds (working title).

Hotel Cocaine tells the story of Roman Compte, Cuban exile, CIA operative, and general manager of the Hotel Mutiny, the epicenter of the late ’70s and early ’80s Miami cocaine scene. Meanwhile, Black Harvest follows a Black American author and his writer girlfriend as they plan to attend the Pan African conference and escape the tense social climes of the states in 1952 Paris. Things do not go as planned for the pair, who find themselves in the middle of a series of abductions and murders of black men.
American Classic follows Richard Bean (Kevin Kline), a Broadway star who is forced to return to his hometown following a public meltdown. There he finds himself working alongside his brother (Jon Tenney) and the family as he attempts to bring their dinner theater show to greater heights.
Meanwhile, Tails of a London Dog-Walker is a half-hour dramedy based on Kate MacDougall’s memoir which chronicles her adventures in dog-walking, disastrous dates, and more. On the unscripted side, Sessions serves as an intimate concert experience as it highlights various musical artists, and Hollywood Black is a four-part docuseries based on Donald Bogle’s book that highlights the ways in which Black actors, writers, directors, and producers have fought for their place on the screen.
And San Francisco Sounds is a two-part documentary exploring the psychedelic music scene of the city from 1966 to 1967. Stay tuned to see which titles in development get a green light, and keep an eye out for the arrival of new content coming to Epix this year.
