These Celebs Are Making a Case For Colour in the Fall

    The brighter the better.

Many of us tend to gravitate towards a neutral wardrobe this time of year, opting for toasty browns, cozy greys and classic black as we bid farewell to summer —but some of our favourite celebrity street style looks have broken all the fall fashion rules, as the stars trade in these classic colours for more vivid hues.

Last week, Rihanna hit the streets of NYC in a lime green statement coat by Marina Moscone paired with her very own chartreuse Savage x Fenty ‘Caged Lace Jersey Gloves.’ It had all the makings of a true-to-form fall ensemble: a long wool coat, wide-leg pants and seasonal gloves — but with an unorthodox element of colour that just works.

To further inspire you to add colour to your fall and winter looks, we’ve gathered of the best celebrity street style snaps — from Harry Styles to Cardi B.

    HARRY STYLES

Harry Styles caught our attention with his neon pink sustainability statement ensemble. Styles took it easy in a casual pink hoodie from sustainable clothing brand, Pangaia — a departure from his recent high-fashion attire as Gucci’s muse.

    KIM KARDASHIAN WEST

By now, we’re all well aware of Kim Kardashian West’s love affair with Balenciaga (remember the Met Gala?) — but our favourites in her lineup of looks from the French fashion house would have to be her trio of ‘Pinkalicious’ ‘fits. KKW gave us all the hot pink inspiration with looks ranging from crushed velvet and thigh high boots to a catsuit and a chic fall coat worn during her time hosting SNL last month (where she shared a kiss with rumoured boo, Pete Davidson, btw).

    BELLA HADID

Bella Hadid totally channeled her inner Sporty Spice with this cobalt blue track set. While on a mid-October stroll in NYC, Hadid opted for a Nike windbreaker paired with track pants and Dad sneaks. Bold blues were made for Bella — and apparently for fall too.

    CHRISSY TIEGEN

To close out October, Chrissy Teigen had us seeing red in this striking Alex Perry pantsuit. Like orange, we may expect to see certain shades of red come back in style for fall (think burgundy), but never quite this bright. Bonus points for the matching red lip.

    CARDI B

Just last week, Cardi B proved November is not too cold for colour. This ice-blue pantsuit from Casablanca was perfectly coordinated with a cherry red knit and matching stilettos. Cardi is never one to shy away from bold fashion, and the changing of the seasons is no exception.

The fall tradition of keeping fashion neutral and warm (in both temperature and tone) isn’t going away anytime soon, but we’re feeling inspired to take a cue from these bright celebrity street style looks and incorporate some statement colours into our wardrobe this season.
