Since the former is a mainstay in many pros’ makeups kits, Tessa Thompson says her new role feels like a full circle moment. “When I first started as an actor, I would do my own my own hair and makeup on red carpets, to varying degrees of success! When I had one of my first big movie premieres, I worked with an artist who actually introduced me to Luminous Silk. So, the first time I had my makeup done professionally in Hollywood was with this foundation. It feels very exciting that now there will be women that will be able to look at [me in] an ad and see a version of themselves,” she says.
