The angel number 222 is said to be a sign of hope and positivity with a promise of harmony and balance in life. And after a weekend of chaotic Instagram posts in a fight to reunite his family, maybe Kanye West is turning toward manifestation as he schedules his Donda 2 listening party for Feb. 22, 2022, at Miami’s LoanDepot Park.
A Ticketmaster listing for the Donda Experience Performance appeared on the platform over the weekend with the official announcement arriving Monday.
Last year’s collection of Donda listening parties drew crowds of thousands with a multitude of guests in attendance, including Drake at a Los Angeles show in December. In recent days, West has been clear about the state of his alliances, going so far as to remove Kid Cudi from Donda 2 “because he’s friends with you know who,” referencing Kim Kardashian’s current love interest Pete Davidson.
In a separate Instagram post, he wrote: “I just wanted my friend to have my back the knife just goes in deeper.” The accompanying photo featured West, Cudi, Davidson, and Timothée Chalamet, the only person besides Kanye without an X over his face.
Donda arrived last year with a lengthy list of collaborators including Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, the Weeknd, DaBaby, Marilyn Manson, and more. While not much is known about its follow-up, including whether it will arrive in a completed form on time or continue to be tweaked and updated after February 22, the static image associated with its release depicts a recreation of the rapper’s childhood home with fire and smoke pouring from the windows.
All of the events surrounding the release of Donda 2 will lead up to West’s headlining set at Coachella in April. That is if he can get over Billie Eilish stopping a recent show to help a fan in need, which he perceived as a slight against Travis Scott. He’s threatened to pull out if she doesn’t apologize.
