What do you get when you combine the rich, an investigator, and billions of investment funds on a cruise in the middle of the ocean? The most glamorous, campy, high-stakes murder mystery streaming right now.

Death and Other Details centers around two main characters, Imogene Scott (played by Violett Beane) and Rufus Cotesworth (played by Mandy Patinkin), as they race to uncover a murderer at large. Directed by Mark Webb, who’s also directed series like Why Women Kill and The Republic of Sarah, the series takes place on the S.S. Varuna, traveling between Malta and Palermo. When the death of an assumed investor causes the ship to spiral into turmoil, it’s up to Scott and Cotesworth to uncover the truth behind the facade.
