Pop star’s second Eras Tour date in Ireland also included a mashup of “This Love” and “Ours”
Taylor Swift debuted “The Albatross” live on Saturday during her second of three Eras Tour appearances this weekend in Dublin, Ireland at Aviva Stadium. The set also featured a mashup of “This Love” and “Ours.”
For The Tortured Poet’s Department: The Anthology track’s “The Albatross,” Swift took to her acoustic guitar and mixed the song with Reputation’s “Dancing With Our Hands Tied,” as fan footage shared on social media highlighted.
“The acoustic section — I absolutely wait for this all night because it is the point of the show that keeps me on my toes because I do something on guitar, I do something on piano,” she said before debuting the song live. “And I do things completely different. I’m always trying to think of something new to do, so I decided I’m going to do a song I’ve never performed live before.”
Swift played piano for her second surprise pairing of the night, which featured a mashup of 1989’s “This Love” and “Ours” from the deluxe edition of Speak Now.
Last night, she treated Dublin Swifties in attendance to a live debut of Folklore’s “Hoax,” which was part of a mashup with Midnight’s “Sweet Nothing.”
Beyond the live song debuts she has been delivering throughout the Eras Tour, Swift recently dropped another surprise for fans: Last weekend, her boyfriend Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, made his own live Eras Tour debut on stage in London. He appeared as one of her dancers and carried Swift to a couch during the intro to “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” for the vaudeville-styled segment.
Swift closes out her Dublin Eras Tour shows on Sunday. Her next string of dates find her in Amsterdam, where she will perform at Johan Cruijff Arena from July 4 through the 6.
