Kane Brown Changed Son’s Name After Family Laughed at 1st Choice

If Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn had stuck to their original plan, their son Krewe would have a very different name.

In a recent interview with CMT, the country singer revealed that their family steered them away from a name they had already settled on. As if picking a name for a child isn’t stressful enough!

“My go-to was Kasper with K,” Brown explains. “I thought it was sick. My wife thought it was cool.”

“We called her family and they started laughing at us,” he admits. “So we ended up having to change the name.”

The couple ultimately chose Krewe Allen Brown for their baby boy, who arrived on June 18, 2024.

The “Miles on It” singer was already a father of two when he and Katelyn found out they would be having another baby. While he loves spending time with his two daughters, Kingsley and Kodi, he says he can’t get enough of baby Krewe and his adorable cheeks.

“He’s adorable,” Brown gushes in the interview. “His cheeks, I guess just being as a baby, are so puffy. So, I can’t stop kissing his cheeks.”

Who Are Kane Brown’s Children?

Brown and his wife Katelyn are parents to three children. After marrying in 2018, the pair welcomed Kingsley Rose on Oct. 29, 2019. Next the couple surprised the world when they announced they’d had a second baby, Kodi Jane, on Dec. 30, 2021. They kept the entire pregnancy a secret!

Then came Kasper Krewe Allen on June 18, 2024. Brown says he is excited to share the “boy” things with his son.

“I’m excited — I mean, I’m nervous because it’s three babies, and I love my little girls. But I am really excited to have a son just ’cause I have, like, all this stuff,” Brown told Taste of Country in February. That includes, “a basketball court, a racing simulator, golf simulator.”
