Candace Cameron Bure Announces GAF Movie Sequel With Cameron Mathison
On Tuesday, Great American Family hosted a Facebook Live Event. Cameron Mathison was the host, with GAF CEO Bill Abbott, as well as Candace Cameron Bure. There was a lot of news including the premiere date for When Hope Calls in April. However, there was even bigger news.
CCB announced that she and Cam are going to star in a sequel. This will be to Home Sweet Christmas, which premiered Thanksgiving 2024 weekend. The Full House stars shared that the response was so great for the first movie, they decided to make a second movie.
Next, the two shared how much fun it was to work together. Even though they both worked for the same networks, this was the first time they ever worked together. Now, they get to do more.
First Movie Sequel For Both Stars
At this special online event, CCB and Cameron Mathison confessed that they never made a sequel movie before. Sleuthers certainly know that both have been in multiple mystery series. Cameron used to star with Alison Sweeney in the Murder She Baked/Hannah Swensen Mysteries. Furthermore, CCB starred in nearly 20 Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. However, what they both meant was that this is the first non-mystery movie that they are making a sequel for.

During the event, CCB started out the online event with a prayer. Later, Candace revealed that she and Cameron went to church together for the first time. Also in this broadcast, Danica McKellar shared the Bible that Candace gave her. What makes this even more special is that this was her first Bible ever.
When Should Home Sweet Christmas Sequel Premiere On GAF?
When should Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison fans get to see their sequel? Firstly, this movie has not yet gone into production. It sounds like they are sorting that out now. Last year, they filmed their first holiday movie together Home Sweet Christmas at the end of summer. Therefore, it seems likely that they will film it over the summer when most holiday romcoms are filmed.
Next, any movie starting Great American Family star Candace Cameron Bure will premiere on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. This is the most prestigious programming evening of the year. That would make it premiere on Sunday, November 30. However, GAF will likely announce its 2025 Great American Christmas lineup in September. Therefore, fans will want to check for a confirmed date then.
