Telemundo Reporter Adan Manzano, 27, Dies While on Assignment for Super Bowl 2025
A new development in the case surrounding Adan Manzano’s death has emerged.
After the Telemundo Kansas City sports reporter died in New Orleans while covering the 2025 Super Bowl for the Spanish-language network, local authorities arrested a suspect in connection to his death, Kenner Police Department Chief of Police Keith Conley announced at a press conference Feb. 7.
Danette Colbert of Slidell, La., was arrested in New Orleans Feb. 6 after she was allegedly discovered using Manzano’s credit card in the city, Conley told reporters. One day earlier, the police chief continued, Colbert was seen with Manzano on security footage reviewed by investigators, which also showed her leaving his Kenner hotel room alone later that morning.
Colbert was subsequently booked for “property crimes,” according to Conley, though he noted that the charges “could be upgraded” pending the coroner’s findings.
E! News has reached out to New Orleans Police as well as Colbert’s lawyer for comment but has not heard back.
