While Drew doesn’t have a direct say in the prizes that are given away on the show. He explained that sometimes he might suggest a prize after seeing something cool online. However, it was clear that the decision-making about prizes wasn’t entirely in his hands. As the show progressed, Drew had more input. One of his contributions was urging the producers to stop giving away the grandfather clocks. It seems like he wasn’t the only one who wasn’t too thrilled about the repetitive prize.
In addition to sharing thoughts on prizes, Drew also talked about the perks of working on The Price Is Right for the show’s crew members. He revealed that the crew gets access to a special warehouse filled with leftover prizes. These are items that didn’t get used up in the show, like bedroom sets, washers, dryers, and other household items. At the end of the season, the crew has the chance to buy these leftover prizes at discounted prices. Drew joked that although many of the prizes in the warehouse were in high demand, nobody ever seemed interested in the grandfather clocks.
