Now, if you’re a fan of romantasy—or even half way curious about it—the books on the list won’t come as a big shock, especially considering how Rebecca Yarros and Sarah J. Maas have been the reigning queens of romantasy for awhile now.
Still, if you’d like some popular romantasy books by BIPOC authors, there’s (courtesy of Goodreads):
A Touch of Darkness (Hades & Persephone, #1) and King of Battle and Blood (Adrian x Isolde, #1) by Scarlett St. Clair
Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi
The Hurricane Wars (The Hurricane Wars, #1) by Thea Guanzon
Heavenly Bodies (Heavenly Bodies, #1) by Imani Erriu
The Jasad Heir (The Scorched Throne, #1) by Sara Hashem
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon (Mead Mishaps, #1) by Kimberly Lemming
