Player Wins Big On Show After Personal Tragedy
A contestant on The Price Is Right stepped onto the stage to play Pocket Change. In this game, if she did well, she would win an all-new car. While this is a regular prize that the game show offers, it meant even more because of what this player went through in her personal life.
This contestant had to guess the right numbers in the right slots which corresponded with the price of the car. Every time she got the number wrong, the amount of “pocket change” needed would increase. Whenever a player gets a number right, they are able to pick one of many envelopes.
The money in the envelopes needs to equal the dollar amount of the car, with some amounts in the envelopes starting as low as ten cents. This is exactly what this player got in her first envelope. While going through the envelopes, the contestant told the audience that she was in a car accident a few weeks back and that her vehicle was “totaled.”
The good news for her is, even though it came down to the very last envelope, she made it just over the threshold to take home a brand-new car.
