‘Final Transmissions’ – Analog Horror Anthology Series Set in Eldritch to Feature Trevor Henderson Original Artwork

A new analog horror series, Final Transmissions, is in the works, and it aims to capture the spirit of ’90s cable access television, featuring original artwork from Trevor Henderson.

The six-episode found footage anthology series is “Set in the small town of Eldritch, Illinois in 1999, the show follows a local TV host who begins airing strange and terrifying signals he claims to be receiving from unknown sources—each one more disturbing than the last.”

The series, which currently launched a campaign on Indiegogo, looks to capture the unnerving atmosphere of media like Unsolved Mysteries, The Blair Witch Project, Silent Hill, and Marble Hornets.

Created by husband-and-wife team Steven Hugh Nelson and Erica Nelson, Final Transmissions is described to blend “nostalgia, conspiracy, and existential dread into a surreal narrative told through grainy VHS aesthetics.”

“There’s something uniquely terrifying about found footage,” says Steven Hugh Nelson. “The rawness, the unpredictability—like you’ve discovered something you were never supposed to see. We grew up watching tapes that felt haunted, and we wanted to channel that energy.”

“Analog horror has this ability to make even the mundane feel menacing,” adds Erica Nelson. “It distorts memory, truth, and time. Final Transmissions is our tribute to that era—to the weird public access shows, the local legends, the dead air at 2 a.m. that felt like it was trying to speak to you.”

Each episode in the anthology is a self-contained story, “broadcast” through the lens of the fictional host’s cable access show. As the season unfolds, the fragments begin to connect, revealing a larger mystery that threatens to consume both the host and the town of Eldritch itself.

The series will feature original artwork from Trevor Henderson, as well as original stories and direction from a team of acclaimed independent horror filmmakers including:

    • Sophia Cacciola and Michael J. Epstein (The Once and Future Smash)
    • Evan Churchill and Thomas Pardo (Beholder)
    • Nick Cotrufo (The McKinney Family Home Videos)
    • Alex Hera (The History of Analog Horror)
    • Erica Nelson and Steven Hugh Nelson (Old Wounds)
    • Lianne O’Shea and Aviv Rubinstien (Lizzie Lazarus)

“This is more than a show—it’s an experience,” Steven Hugh Nelson said. “We want the audience to feel like they’re uncovering a cursed tape, or tuning into a signal meant only for them.”
