Kelly Clarkson is ready for a drastic change amid the ending of her hit talk show, which she has hosted since 2019. The Season 1 American Idol winner has her plate full, with being a mother and still an active performer. So, what is next for her when the show is over? Keep reading for more details.
Kelly Clarkson Ready For Drastic Change
When Kelly Clarkson won the premiere season of American Idol, everyone believed that she would go many places and be immensely successful. She did that and more, walking away with three Grammys and launching an incredibly successful talk show in 2019. Fans have seen her span the spectrum from being a mother, wife, singer, and now, interviewer. Along with that, Kelly was a coach on The Voice, where her bond with Blake Shelton was unmatched. Now, it seems that she is ready to step away from her talk show and make some epic changes.

She had previously taken some personal time away, and viewers wondered if everything was okay. Along with that, rumors have circulated that Kelly is ready to leave her show with Hoda Kotb as a possible replacement. An insider has since spoken up about what is next for Kelly, 43. Although she loves her hosting gig and how much time it gives her with her two children, her schedule has become very “demanding.” She allegedly misses other creative aspects of her life, such as music, and would love to delve back into that:
“She very much loves music though and would love to create new music.”
Given how much Kelly Clarkson must dedicate to her talk show, and how much it needs from her, she is exploring other avenues. She wants to do what is best for herself and her family. At the same time, she will be very thoughtful when it comes to her next move. Kelly does not jump into things headfirst but rather gives them adequate time and thought. As of now, her contract will end in 2026, but:
“She’s thinking that she might need a shift next year when her contract is up.”
A Big Year For Kelly Clarkson
The Kelly Clarkson Show just landed eight Daytime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host. She will seemingly return for a seventh season, although some staffers have worried that she will exit abruptly, leaving them high and dry. Finally, Kelly will start her Las Vegas residency in July, and there is a lot of excitement surrounding this. She had to cancel the first two shows due to illness, but doesn’t want to give anything but her best. Hopefully, Kelly will find exactly what she is looking for, even if it means ending her show.
Do you think it is time Kelly Clarkson calls it quits for her talk show, or should she keep it going? More so, do you believe that music and hosting are too much for anyone to balance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
