After releasing in theaters nationwide last month, Vietnam dinosaur movie Primitive War has set a date for VOD.
Samuel Goldwyn Films will release Primitive War on Digital and VOD on October 3 and is available to pre-order here.
Primitive War is directed by Luke Sparke and adapts author Ethan Pettus’ 2017 sci-fi military novel. Jeremy Piven (“Entourage,” Old School), Tricia Helfer (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Lucifer”), Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood,” Glorious), and Nick Wechsler (“The Boys“) headline the film.
The official synopsis: “Vietnam. 1968. A recon unit known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. They soon discover they are not alone and must face the most terrifying creatures to ever walk the earth.”
Anthony Ingruber (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Aaron Glenane (Interceptor, Danger Close), Carlos Sanson Jr (Bump, Legacies), Ana Thu Nguyen (Mortal Kombat 2), Adolphus Waylee (Nautilus), Richard Brancatisano (The Messenger), Marcus Johnson (Talk to Me), and Jake Ryan (Savage, Underbelly) also star.
“Primitive War grossed over a million dollars in its limited US release with a 90% audience Popcornmeter and positive reactions across social media platforms. We’re very excited to bring this film to greater success after its ongoing theatrical run,” said SGF president Peter Goldwyn.
Sparke added “I can’t wait for the film to be unleashed across North America digitally, so everyone has a chance to finally see it after the tiny theatrical release. The response has been amazing so far and I hope this release finds even more fans to support this crazy-bonkers-film, but one it seems people are craving right now.”
Primitive War is presented by Sparke Films in association with Let it be Entertainment and producers Carly Sparke, Carmel Imrie, Luke Sparke, Geoff Imrie, and Alex Becconsall.
