Nightdive Revisits Cult FPS ‘Blood’ Again With ‘Blood: Refreshed Supply’, Coming December 4 [Trailer]

Nightdive Studios is returning once again to Monolith Productions’ Blood with another remaster in Blood: Refreshed Supply. This new version of the 1997 classic FPS will be brought to consoles for the first time with brand new content on December 4. Pre-orders are now live (with a 20% discount) for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One and Series, and the Nintendo Switch for $29.99. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will launch in early 2026.

Originally developed by Monolith Productions and released in 1997 on MS-DOS PCs, Blood dripped with horror tributes galore with plenty of viscera chunks. Nightdive Studios released an updated edition called Blood: Fresh Supply back in 2019, but now the studio is back with a definitive remaster featuring additional technical enhancements for modern platforms, including up to 4K resolution at unlocked frame rates, local split-screen and online co-op for up to 8 players, a Vault with behind-the-scenes content from the development of Blood, and more.

In addition to the original Blood campaign and the Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage add-ons, Blood: Refreshed Supply features two new mission scenarios: Marrow (available at launch) and Death Wish (releasing post-launch).

“Since we released Blood: Fresh Supply six years ago, the demand from fans to have this iconic game on consoles has been immense,” said Larry Kuperman, VP of Business Development at Nightdive Studios. “With our partners at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Nightdive and Atari can now deliver on those demands and finally bring Blood to modern consoles. We didn’t stop there, though. Refreshed Supply is the definitive edition of Blood, with additional improvements made and exciting new content from Nightdive.”

Blood: Refreshed Supply will treat players to 42 pulse-pounding levels, where they’ll mutilate foes with a vicious arsenal of weapons. Additionally, you and your friends can take the fun into multiplayer, either online or on the couch in split-screen. Custom fan-made content also gets a boost with advanced modding support.

    • Up to 4K 120FPS visuals on PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One and Series
    • Fully customizable keyboard and controller gamepad support
    • Extended modding support, including support for existing mods
    • Local split-screen and cross-platform online multiplayer support for up to eight players — co-op, PvP “Bloodbath”, and classic 4v4 team-based “Capture The Flag” modes
    • CD and MIDI music support
    • Includes existing add-ons Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage
    • New mission scenarios, Marrow and Death Wish, pump new blood into… Blood! Marrow will be available at launch, while Death Wish will release as a free post-launch update.

Unfortunately, existing owners of Blood: Fresh Supply will not be getting a free upgrade to Refreshed Supply. However, Nightdive aims to ease the pain with the pre-orders, where existing owners will receive a 66.6% off loyalty discount to upgrade to Blood: Refreshed Supply. On December 4, 2025, Blood: Fresh Supply will be removed from both storefronts and replaced by Blood: Refreshed Supply.
