Bad Bunny Slammed For Disrespecting America At Baseball Game

Musical superstar and actor Bad Bunny, birth name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has been slammed for disrespecting America. He was at a baseball game on Tuesday, October 7th, when he did something no one could believe. So, what did he do that was so bad? Keep reading for more details.

Bad Bunny Slammed For Disrespecting America

It is a big time in Bad Bunny’s life as his career has hit a peak. The singer and actor just hosted Saturday Night Live amid the announcement that he would be headlining the Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California. That became a very controversial announcement as football fans are torn about him helming the Half Time Show. This is a huge honor for performers, and it was unclear if he would be the right choice. Of course, he poked fun at it in his SNL monologue and is just enjoying the ride.

Fans may also recall that BB was in a high-profile romance with supermodel and reality star Kendall Jenner. Now, he is under a microscope, and it is not looking good. He was taking in a baseball game on Tuesday, October 7th. It was the Toronto Blue Jays versus the New York Yankees, and they were taking time out for “God Bless America.” Unfortunately, BB did not feel motivated to be patriotic with the crowd and rather stayed in his seat. While surrounded by fellow sports lovers, Bad Bunny chatted with his friends, and this was seen as rude and disrespectful.

However, it added to the argument that he was not the right choice for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Although he is one of the most popular singers in the world, some have suggested that other artists would have been better. He has yet to show the world what he has and has an immense support system of people who want to see him succeed. Sadly, this move may derail all of that.

Followers Speak Out On This Move

After followers and fans saw that Bad Bunny sat out “God Bless America,” they immediately headed to social media. There was a lot to be said about this, and maybe it was not the right time for him to stay seated. At the same time, fans were torn, as maybe it should not have been such a big deal:

    • Oh well. He has the right to sit or stand whenever he wants. No matter what song is playing. You might not like it but your feelings does not outweigh someone’s rights. PERIOD!
    • The old Yankee stadium we would yell at people to stand up and/or take your hat off.
    • Ain’t no way this guy will make it to the Super Bowl. Better get Chris Stapleton on the line…..

Some did argue that this was not a proper National Anthem; therefore, he could do what he wanted. More so, they questioned how many fans were in the bathroom or getting a drink.

Do you think Bad Bunny was disrespectful, or are people making a mountain out of a molehill? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
