2025 was a year of conviction. A year when designers stopped negotiating with trends and instead doubled down on instinct, craft and imagination. Across runways, ateliers and underground labels, you could feel the shift — menswear wasn’t chasing hype anymore. It was chasing clarity.

These are the names and moments that shaped how men want to dress now. Not guesses. Not guesses. Real impact.

Welcome to the FashionBeans Fashion Awards 2025.

Designer Of The Year: JW Anderson

FSB Awards 2025 - JW Anderson

Jonathan Anderson moved through 2025 with the confidence of someone who knows the industry has finally caught up to him.

Across the houses he leads, there was a rare harmony: surreal silhouettes sharpened into sleek tailoring, knitwear treated like sculpture, and a sense of play woven into every stitch without ever diminishing the clothes’ emotional weight.

What made this year different was the totality of his vision. You could see his touch ripple across menswear — the elongated lines, the subversive proportions, the quiet drama — all became the mood others tried to capture. Anderson didn’t just dominate 2025. He set the direction for everything that comes next.

FSB Fashion Awards 2025 - Wales Bonner

Grace Wales Bonner’s rise has never been loud. It has been steady, purposeful and deeply rooted in storytelling. In 2025, something clicked — the world finally understood the scale of her vision.

Her collections layered history, sport and spirituality with pinpoint precision. Her tailoring moved with weight and grace. Her collaborations evolved into cultural moments, not product drops. And her artistic language — that quiet, intellectual calm — spread everywhere from the terrace to the gala.

Wales Bonner didn’t just have a strong year. She became essential. A brand men now look to for truth, clarity and a new kind of elegance.

    KidSuper
    KidSuper

Inside the Louvre, KidSuper didn’t present a show. It presented a world.

Colm Dillane built a three-storey storybook set with turning pages, hidden entrances and narration echoing through the vaulted hall. Models didn’t walk so much as emerge. Coats became constellations. Jackets looked crash-landed. Colours glowed with childhood hope.

Every moment felt impossible — and yet perfectly executed.

In a year filled with polished, corporate runway productions, KidSuper delivered something menswear rarely allows itself anymore: wonder. A reminder that fashion is at its best when it believes in magic.

    Pane Riveria

Sometimes a sneaker wins because it’s everywhere.

Sometimes it wins because it refuses to be.

The Riviera Run from PANE — a mysterious, quietly emerging label from China — did the latter. A low-profile silhouette with the precision of a European classic and the restraint modern menswear craves, it surfaced in niche circles before exploding into a full-scale obsession.

Early wearers praised the materials, structure and shockingly refined finish. The brand identity felt like a love letter to vintage sports culture. And even with limited accessibility, the Riviera Run became the sneaker that defined what 2025 actually looked like.

Minimalist. Intelligent. Impossible to shake once you’ve seen it.

FSB Fashion Awards 2025 - Vacheron

Some timepieces rewrite the rules. This one didn’t need to.

Vacheron’s steel 222 returned in 2025 with a calm confidence that made louder watches feel insecure. The proportions stayed faithful to the 70s icon. The bracelet flowed like water. The blue dial caught light with a quiet shimmer that feels luxurious without asking for applause.

It is a watch for people who appreciate heritage, proportion and restraint — not spectacle. A reminder that in the deepest corners of menswear, the most powerful flex is understatement.

Collabs have become wallpaper. Predictable. Repetitive. Over-negotiated.

Then sacai x Carhartt WIP arrived and reminded everyone what collaboration is supposed to look like.

Carhartt’s rugged workwear silhouettes were rebuilt through sacai’s architectural lens — Detroit jackets expanded into layered hybrids, parkas were restructured into technical sculptures, and trousers became engineered pieces with depth and precision.

This wasn’t hype. It wasn’t costume.

It was transformation — two design languages meeting at full power, elevating each other without compromise.

FSB Fashion Awards 2025 - Kazuma

A.PRESSE is what happens when someone obsesses over the invisible things — the grain of a fabric, the weight of a seam, the way a sweatshirt should drape over a belt without collapsing.

Kazuma Shigematsu’s work in 2025 didn’t break through with noise. It broke through with inevitability. Suddenly A.PRESSE was everywhere: referenced by stylists, studied by designers, stocked by the world’s sharpest retailers.

The pieces that defined the year — the washed denim, the heather grey sweats, the suede blousons, the officer trousers — became the quiet foundation of the best outfits in menswear.

Shigematsu didn’t change men’s wardrobes overnight.

    He changed their standards.

    Closing Note

These awards recognise more than achievement — they celebrate conviction. Every designer here took risks, made sacrifices and pushed their world forward. Menswear doesn’t evolve by accident. It evolves because people like this insist on better.

And 2025 was better because of them.
