One HGTV Star Recently Discussed Personal Issues During One Of Their Shows
Launched in 1994, Home & Garden Television, also known as HGTV, has offered viewers a number of home renovation shows. Thanks to this, fans have been introduced to a number of hosts over the years.
Through it all, fans have often gotten to know more and more about these figures, often from social media or from them sharing aspects of their lives on their shows. Recently, fans have been reacting to an admission from one HGTV star.
As previously reported, David Bromstad recently opened up about drug addiction while renovating his Florida home, which had been previously destroyed by a storm. As the host of My Lottery Dream Home explained, he began “using substances” after the house endured the storm in the middle of the process.
Bromstad explained that losing the house was all the more difficult for an underlying reason. This was his dream house that represented his opportunity to heal from past childhood trauma and bullying.
On My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending, Bromstad shared, “Now my childhood fantasy, my house, is broken, like me. I think with the house, with where I’m at emotionally, physically, spiritually, psychologically, everything has stopped. I was literally screaming out for help.”
Bromstad continued to explain that he engaged in “unhealthy behaviors” while being under “distress.” He quickly realized things were getting serious, and he checked into a “program,” putting the renovations on hold.
Since his admission on the show, Bromstad also spoke with fans during an Instagram video. He shared that he has since received a lot of support from fans concerning his struggles.
David Bromstad Recently Shared His Holiday Plans With Fans On Social Media
Bromstad admitted, “I wanted to thank everyone for the incredible support that you guys have given me after the show. It’s been great [and] super amazing.”
In the video, Bromstad also shared updates about his holidays. This even included showing a few Christmas trees.
Taking to the comments, fans continued to share words of support towards the HGTV star. Considering his seasonal shares in the video, a lot of fans also wished Bromstad a happy holiday. Some comments included:
