Country festival groups now dominate the summer schedule as Tailgates N’ Tallboys (three festivals) and Rock the Country (10 stops) join Country Thunder as multi-date tours. Lineups vary, but there’s always strength of schedule, or at least there’d better be. Nothing tanks a great festival like a weak lineup, and to that end, a few festivals are missing from this list.

Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, Hardy and Lainey Wilson are the most popular country festival headliners for 2025, with Brooks & Dunn, Blake Shelton and Nickelback appearing on several more.
Bailey Zimmerman is this year’s breakthrough headliner — the country newcomer is the last act on several of these shows, proving his audience is broad and passionate.
Often what defines a festival is the opening acts. Classic artists, ’90s icons and Red Dirt country heroes are but one way to distinguish a festival from its neighbor. At least one fest is heavy into hip-hop — Afroman on a country show? Why not!?
