Daniela Garcia doesn’t just design costumes—she builds identity.

Working out of Los Angeles, Garcia has developed a style that leans heavily into character psychology. For her, wardrobe isn’t about looking good on screen—it’s about revealing who someone is before they even speak. Every texture, every color choice, every detail is part of a larger story she’s quietly telling alongside the script.

What gives her work an extra layer is her background in directing and screenwriting. She approaches each project with a filmmaker’s mindset, breaking down character arcs and emotional shifts, then translating those into visual language through clothing. It’s subtle, but powerful—the kind of work that audiences feel even if they don’t consciously notice it.
That storytelling instinct is already opening new doors.

Garcia recently stepped into the director’s chair with her debut short film Cruda Verdad Dura Moral, which premiered at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival last week. The film didn’t just screen—it connected, earning Honorable Mention for Best Student Film and the Audience Choice Award, a strong early sign of her voice as a filmmaker.
At the same time, she continues to expand her presence as a costume designer. My Duplicated Husband is now streaming on ReelShorts, where viewers can see her work in action—thoughtful, character-driven, and seamlessly integrated into the storytelling.

She’s also moving into the evolving vertical content space, with upcoming productions in development alongside Wild Ferry Films. It’s a fast-paced format that demands sharp visual instincts and efficient storytelling—both of which align perfectly with her approach.
Daniela Garcia’s strength is simple but rare—she understands that costume isn’t decoration, it’s narrative. And as she continues to grow both as a designer and a director, she’s proving she knows exactly how to use it.
