She recently made rude comments about the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, even asking if she was a “b*tch.” So, what exactly did the opinionated ladies have to say regarding Jessel? Carolyn Bessette Was Carole Radziwill’s Best Friend
Carole Radziwill has spoken openly about her relationship with the Kennedy family. Her husband was Anthony Radziwill, and his cousin was John F. Kennedy Jr. He was married to Carolyn Bessette, and she was Carole’s best friend. Tragically, Carolyn and John died in a plane crash in July 1999, while Carole’s husband passed from cancer in August 1999. It was a nightmare time for Carole, but she turned it around via her memoir, What Remains. RHONY viewers know her story and how it has shaped her as a person and writer. She has since returned to the Bravo series after exiting in Season 10.
Upon returning, the FX limited series, Love Story, was airing. It was all about JFK Jr. and his relationship with Carolyn leading up to their deaths. Carole’s co-stars asked her about Carolyn and what she was really like. However, Jessel Taank took it a step too far and wanted to know if she was a “b*tch.” Moreover, she asked how Carole felt about everyone being inspired by her style, making it a “Carolyn Bessette summer.” This was completely off-putting, and it immediately made it onto The View. The ladies, as well as guest host Sam Champion, shared their thoughts.
Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that this was Carole Radziwill’s best friend, and it was completely rude to talk about Carolyn Bessette in such a way. There was also chatter about having a friend who says inappropriate things, which Joy Behar said she is. Alyssa reiterated that you can want to know about someone without being cold and calculated.
Who’s The B*tch?
Since Jessel Taank wanted to know if Carolyn Bessette was a “b*tch,” Ana Navarro used that to say what many were thinking. She joked that Carole Radziwill should have said:
“No, she wasn’t a b*tch, but you are.”
After The View hosts had their say, fans and followers wondered what Jessel’s motive was. They questioned if she was doing this for a storyline or if she really was that cruel:
- I think Jessel got annoyed when Carole didn’t think the “Carolyn summer” thing was cute so she doubled down on being insensitive which was a crazy thing to do considering the subject matter.
- Jessel is a clown with zero redeeming qualities.
- I can’t stand Jessel! She’s so pretentious.
Some believed that this was the work of the producers, while others think Jessel is just that awful. Regardless, it was disrespectful to the memory of Carolyn Bessette.
