Not only is Savannah Chrisley pregnant and getting married, but her fiancé, Jason Galanis, was in jail with her father, Todd Chrisley. Moreover, his nearly sixteen-year prison sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump. So, how long were Todd and Jason locked up together for? Keep reading for all of the details.
Todd Chrisley Has Known Jason For A While
In November 2022, Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to a total of nineteen years behind bars. They started serving in January of 2023, with Todd heading to Federal Correctional Institution (FPI) Pensacola and Julie going to Kentucky. In May 2025, they were pardoned by President Trump, but it was not easy. Their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, had worked tirelessly to make this happen. She spoke at the RNC, attended events, and more, all while raising her two younger siblings. The pardon and their subsequent release were featured on a reality series, something the Chrisleys were very familiar with.

While they were serving time, Savannah had dated Robert Shiver and explored fertility options. She had no idea how she would handle marriage and babies with endometriosis and her parents not around. They split, and she met Jason Galanis while working on the pardon. Now, Savannah and Jason are engaged and expecting a baby, but so much is coming out about him. He had been sentenced to a 16-year sentence, which was commuted by the president in March 2025. As it turned out, Jason and Todd served time together in Pensacola.
From January to August 2023, Todd Chrisley and Jason Galanis were at the prison camp, which is now closed. Before that, it housed around 500 inmates, although it is unclear if Todd and Jason had crossed paths. Moreover, it is unclear if Todd spotted Jason and felt he would be a good match for Savannah.
Just Two Months
In March 2025, Jason Galanis’ sentence was commuted, and two months later, Julie and Todd Chrisley were pardoned. Two months later, Savannah Chrisley and Jason began dating, and now they are expecting a baby. He is much older than she is, which she has acknowledged. Jason is 56, whereas Savannah is just 29. Todd is 57, so he is only one year older than her fiancé, but many do not see this engagement or even marriage ending well:
- I don’t see this ending well!
- Oh no Savannah! Sounds like you were love bombed by a narcissist!
- Poor judgment and a big mistake. she will regret this
- oh boy thought she’d be ok but now I am worried.
- Think before marrying him. Get a pre-nup
- I don’t see this ending well. There is too much of an age gap and she’s too young to weather that.
