Over the weekend, IGN Fan Fest included several new trailers and announcements, including developer Bloober Team announcing that their upcoming Layers of Fear (originally titled Layers of Fears) will arrive this Summer. This was in addition to the announcements for Redfall, Diablo IV, Lies of P and more.

For starters, Layers of Fear, a “reimagination” of the previous three games in the series, will arrive for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series this June. Accompanying the announcement is a “release time reveal” trailer that shows off the upcoming game’s spooky visuals, while also touting the new additions.

Meanwhile, Arkane’s Redfall (which is coming this May) received a Q&A video from production director Ben Horne, who did a deep dive into the details of the game. In addition, the upcoming vampire shooter received a new trailer providing more gameplay, as well as a look at the game’s open world. Redfall will launch on May 2 for Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

Blizzard has announced that the long-awaited return to the Diablo series in Diablo IV (which arrives June 6) will have an open beta test ahead of its release. Kicking off on March 24, the beta will last two days (that’s March 26, if you’re wondering) across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net. Those who pre-ordered the game will get early access to the beta from March 17 to 19.

The open beta will include both the prologue and first Act of the game. Characters can level up to level 25, and all main and side quests in that area will be available. For early access players, you can transfer your progress from the earlier open beta weekend to the next.

Fresh from last week’s trailer, Neowiz and developer Round8 Studio announced that their Soulslike take on Pinocchio in Lies of P will arrive this August for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC via Steam. The game will also be available via It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass. Alongside the announcement is a new trailer, which introduces the Blue Fairy, a creature that serves as a guide to Pinocchio in the original story.

Those itching for more info regarding Offworld Industries’ squad-based FPS Starship Troopers: Extermination got their wish with the official trailer for the game. The trailer provides a bit more info on the game’s three classes — Assault, Support, and Defense — accompanied by the expected bug-bashing mayhem.

Ahead of The Expanse: A Telltale Series arriving this Summer, we’ve gotten a new gameplay trailer that sees Cara Gee reprise her role as Camina Drummer while exploring the uncharted edges of The Belt aboard the The Artemis.

Starward Industries’ sci-fi thriller The Invincible finally received its official trailer after teasing fans last November with brief glimpses of Regis III. This new trailer gives us a look at the planet’s alien landscape before quickly turning dark and disturbing.

Rogue Games and developer Game Grumps revealed a new trailer for their survival horror puzzle game Homebody, which was first revealed last May. There’s still no release date, but the game will be coming to consoles and PC.

Developer Plot Twist dropped a new story trailer for their upcoming Lovecraftian metroidvania The Last Case of Benedict Fox, which arrives on PC via Steam and the Xbox Series on April 27. The new trailer delves into the game’s dark tone, as well as offering glimpses of the otherworldy creatures and environments you’ll be encountering throughout the story.

The Astronauts’ Witchfire also got in on the fun with a new trailer of its own, focusing on the combat. The Astronauts creative director Adrian Chmielarz narrates the trailer, which shows off one of the weapons known as “Hunger”, a hand-cannon that feeds on critical hits. Witchfire is expected in Early Access later this year.

Lastly, League of Geeks’ upcoming turn-based strategy game Solium Infernum received a new trailer showing off the gameplay. Available to wishlist now on Steam, Solium Infernum casts you as s a powerful fallen Archfiend in Hell. The Great Dark Majesty, the ruler of Hell himself, has gone missing, and the feverish Conclave demands a replacement. You’ll be commanding your army of followers in an attempt to outplay your rivals to become Hell’s new Dark Majesty.
