Jung Kook, Jack Harlow Get Multidimensional on New Song ‘3D’

    See It in Motion

Track follows BTS member’s solo hit, “Seven”

Jung Kook knows exactly how he wants to see you, or so he claims on “3D,” his second solo single, which features Jack Harlow. The BTS member presented the song, whose hook finds him singing “I wanna see it in motion, in 3D,” on Friday with a video that presents him in all known dimensions.

In a message to Jung Kook’s fans on WeVerse, his label, Big Hit Music wrote, “as a Pop R&B track with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions.” It also promised “an even more mature side” of the pop star and that Harlow would be “adding zest” to the tune.

In July, Jung Kook released “Seven,” which featured Latto, introducing him as a solo artist outside of BTS. The album was an immediate hit, making it up to Number One on the Billboard Hot 100.

When a South Korean news outlet, Ten Asia, alleged that the song bore enough substantial similarities to Fin.K.L’s song “Time of Mask,” Big Hit shot down the suggestions of plagiarism. “‘Seven’ is a song made through a collaboration with five overseas composers,” the company said. “It is a creation that is entirely unrelated to a song that was included in a Korean album released 24 years ago. We would like to emphasize that the one-sided claim is baseless which fails to satisfy any of the elements for a copyright infringement claim, such as substantive similarity, independent conception, etc.”

“Seven” was featured in his set this past weekend at the Global Citizen Festival. He also performed BTS’ “Euphoria” and a medley of the group’s “Permission to Dance,” “Dynamite,” and “Butter.” The set also included his first-ever performance of “Still With You,” a solo single he released in 2020. Latto made an unannounced appearance at the festival to sing her verse on the track. He ended the performance with a teaser of “3D.”
