Lightworker Games has updated fans on the developer’s upcoming Bodycam horror title Cursed Bet, dropping a new gameplay trailer that hits 11 on the Creepiness Scale almost immediately. And that’s without the game’s cursed doll making an appearance until well into the trailer.
The trailer obviously does more than creep viewers out, as it demonstrates some of the puzzles you’ll be faced with as you explore the abandoned preschool, along with examining items for clues as to what went on at the school. But the real pull for the trailer is the unnerving moments that heighten the dread as you navigate the building, which may or may not be quite as abandoned as you were led to believe.
In Cursed Bet, you play as Davin. Davin is told by his friends about an abandoned preschool where horrific events were said to have taken place. The story goes that a doll in the preschool was cursed, causing it to come to life and proceed to wreak havoc, resulting in the school being closed. The rumour is that the cursed doll is still there, and that bad things happen to those who enter the school. Naturally, Davin doesn’t believe his friends, and enters the school on a dare, recording a video to prove them wrong. You know what happens next.
There’s still no release date yet for Cursed Bet, though if you’re itching to experience some of the gameplay yourself, you can play the demo, which is currently up on the Steam page.
