Los Angeles is getting a new horror film festival next month with Night Frights LA.

Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 20, the all-day event includes screenings, panels, a red carpet, an award ceremony, an afterparty, and more.

The centerpiece of the event is Teddy Grennan‘s winning feature Catch a Killer starring Sam Brooks (Fear Street: 1978), Tu Morrow, Tommi Rose (“Outer Banks”), and Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project).

In the film, after a young movie buff gets kicked off the police force, he realizes that the serial killer who is terrorizing their city is copycatting the murders from famous horror films.

Short film selections include Vivir, the Specter of Christmas, Devil’s Prism, The Vanity, Contraction, Umbra, La Croix, The Last Thing She Saw, Keep Coming Back, No Slasher Here, Knife, A Simple Life, Chickenboy, Ghosted, Playback, Banjo, Where the Shadows Feast, Love Forevermore, the Overkill, Bananahead, the Smell of Sin, and The Nature of Death.

Other notable events include a Q&A with Killer Klowns from Outer Space composer John Massari followed by a screening of the film and a Horror Writers Association panel moderated by Kevin Wetmore featuring Paul Carro, Ari Loeb, Greg McWhorter, and Maria Alexander.

Night Frights LA badges are on sale now starting at $20.
