One of the films featured in our Fall 2025 Horror Preview was Mortal Kombat II, which had been set for theatrical release on October 24 at that time. Tonight, the date has changed.
Mortal Kombat II has officially moved all the way to May 15, 2026. The massive seven month move is likely to better position the film for a much bigger impact at the pre-summer box office next year, rather than risk the movie getting lost in a crowded back half of this year.
