Concierge, the surrealist puzzle thriller from KODINO Artes and publisher Digital Tribe Games, is now available on Steam. To mark the game’s launch, Concierge is available with a 25% limited-time launch discount. And to make things even more interesting, the devs have revealed that there’s a riddle within the game—and $500 USD goes to the first player for solving it.
The story for Concierge traps players inside a decrepit hotel that has been split into six abstract realities—each with its own rules, puzzles, and dangers. Armed only with an unreliable camcorder and a distorted sense of self, players must navigate broken timelines, cryptic guests, and mind-bending challenges that rewrite themselves without warning.
“We set out to create an unpredictable game that respects your sense of curiosity, perseverance and intuition,” says Yan Boente, co-creator at KODINO Artes. “It’s a highly introspective and abstract journey meant to reignite a sense of intrigue in even the most terminally cynical of internet natives. There are many possible routes to take, tons of secrets to find, and no easy answers.”

In the spirit of cryptic games of old like SwordQuest, Digital Tribe has generously offered a worldwide bounty of $500 USD to the first person to solve this conundrum. The riddle is available from now until November 3rd, which marks the end of Steam’s Halloween sale.
