Ed Sheeran’s cousin calls Andrew Eborn interview his “favourite to date,” unpacks the meaning he believes lies behind “A Little More,” and publicly invites Ed to join him on COMMON GROUND
LONDON — In an emotional and revealing television exclusive, Jethro Sheeran, first cousin of global music superstar Ed Sheeran, has issued a direct public invitation for the pair to sit down together on The Andrew Eborn Show and attempt to resolve their highly publicised family dispute.
The extraordinary appeal came during what Jethro described as his “favourite interview to date,” an extensive conversation in which he discussed his relationship with Ed, their early history together, his own mental-health struggles, allegations surrounding his music catalogue, and the Ed Sheeran song “A Little More.”
Jethro believes the track, from Ed Sheeran’s 2025 album Play, contains references to him and their fractured relationship. During the interview, he walked Andrew Eborn through individual lyrics and explained, line by line, why he interprets them as references to events in his own life.
The claims are Jethro’s interpretation of the song and have not been independently established.
But the interview became about considerably more than accusations.
For the first time during his recent series of media appearances, Jethro visibly relaxed, laughed and spoke openly about the possibility of reconciliation.
“This has been my favourite interview to date,” Jethro told Andrew Eborn, adding that Eborn had managed to get a smile out of him in a way previous interviews had not.
Then came the moment that could potentially change the direction of the family dispute.

Speaking directly to his cousin, Jethro issued an on-camera invitation:
“Ed, I reckon you should come on Andrew Eborn’s show and let’s unpack this together… Let’s unpack your song and my song and tell the truth together… I forgive you for everything you’ve done.”
Jethro called for the two cousins to appear together on Andrew Eborn’s COMMON GROUND, the programme’s dedicated format built around bringing opposing sides together for respectful conversation, evidence-based discussion and, where possible, resolution.
The invitation represents a striking change in tone in a dispute that has increasingly played out publicly.

An open invitation remains extended to Ed Sheeran to participate.
THE STORY BEHIND “A LITTLE MORE”
During the interview, Jethro gave his most detailed explanation yet of why he believes A Little More refers to him.
He connected specific lyrics to his experiences with psychiatric treatment, PTSD, ADHD, panic disorder and acute anxiety, as well as to family circumstances he says were private at the time.
Jethro also disputed descriptions of family living arrangements that he believes are reflected in the song and argued that certain references misrepresent events in his life.
These interpretations are Jethro’s own account of the song’s meaning.
The discussion opened a much broader conversation about mental health, family relationships and the consequences of deeply personal conflicts becoming public.

Jethro and Ed Sheeran are first cousins and were once connected creatively during the early stages of Ed’s career.
Jethro has said that he helped introduce his younger cousin to London studios and stages and connected him with figures within the UK grime and urban music scenes. He has also made claims regarding contributions to early material and their work around the Urban Angel banner.
Their relationship subsequently deteriorated.
During the new interview, Jethro discussed his allegation that approximately 48 of his songs were removed from streaming platforms and said legal correspondence supports his account that action was taken at Ed Sheeran’s instruction.
The interview also revisits happier periods in the cousins’ relationship, including early studio sessions, performances and creative collaboration.
That history makes Jethro’s latest invitation particularly significant.
