New Music Review: Randy Edelman “Comin’ Out The Other Side”

No one knows where the soul resides. Does it inhabit the heart?, the brain? Exposed in the light the soul seems too vulnerable for scrutiny, to delicate to live….yet it survives in the music of composer Randy Edelman who’s powerfully gentle and spirited anthemic phenomena, “Comin’ Out the Other Side” is about to become a household song. 

Released via Tribeca Records, a SohoJohnny Enterprise, “Comin’ Out The Other Side” has begun to create an addictive buzz across the nation. It stands to reason that after the entire planet suffered a biological Armageddon for over a year and life as we know it came to a screeching halt, the offering of Edelman’s joyous “party” song was a sigh of relief. Every inch of the heavens was engulfed in flames but when the smoke cleared there was Randy Edelman “Comin’ Out the Other Side.” 

Randy Edelman is a global phenomena known for scoring a myriad of films including: “Last of the Mohicans”, “XXX”, “Ghost Busters ll”, “My Cousin Vinny”, “27 Dresses”, “Kindergarten Cop”, “Dragonheart”, “While You Were Sleeping”, “Twins”, “Drop Dead Fred”, and over 100 others. His songs have been covered by Barry Manilow, Patti LaBelle, Nelly, Olivia Newton-John, Nancy Wilson, Shirley Bassey, Willie Nelson, Petula Clark, Bing Crosby, and many others. Edelman has also scored for television including the MacGyver series, ESPN, the Olympics, and even created the theme for NASA. As a solo artist he is played on the same stage as The Carpenters, and even the iconic Frank Zappa.
