Dua Lipa hosted an intimate dinner party there to celebrate the launch of Yves Saint Laurent’s Libre perfume. Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Janet Jackson, and Addison Rae danced until near dawn at Givenchy’s after-party during Paris Fashion Week. Armani held a makeup seminar and Lancôme took over the space with a designated glam room. Even commercials for the 2024 Olympics commercials were filmed on-site.
The SO/ Paris hotel hasn’t even been open for a full year, yet it has quietly become one of the city’s newest hotspots, playing host to a litany of luxury events and celebrity guests. In a town packed to the gills with lodging for the well-heeled, it’s impressive that a single property has managed to successfully break through all the noise. That’s likely because style is at the heart of everything SO/ Paris does. Boasting a staff wardrobe designed by Patou artistic director Guillaume Henry as well as a special collaboration with legendary French department store Printemps that brings seasonal wares to life in the lobby, every detail of the SO/ Paris experience is catered to the style set.
The fact that it has the best views in Paris probably doesn’t hurt either. On the 15th floor of the hotel sits the restaurant Bonnie, which serves homey brasserie staples like poulet frites alongside duck foie gras and mac and cheese (and don’t sleep on the Bonnie’s Brookie for dessert). But the best part of the restaurant—and the club that’s open Wednesday through Sunday on the 16th floor—is the 360-degree views. From the roof deck, you can see the Seine, plus nearly every monument in the entire city (including, yes, the Eiffel Tower), all while sipping on an Aperol Spritz and smoking the nightly Vogue you allow yourself while in Europe.

And when you’re done with that cocktail? You can pop down to the spa run by Codage, a French skincare brand launched by brother-sister duo Julien and Amandine Azencott. A massage or facial there is akin to a transcendental experience. Your beauty therapist will do a full analysis of your skin before your treatment, and you’ll leave with a serum tailored specifically to your skin needs. The brand is a sleeper hit in France, and, mark our words, is about to be huge in the U.S. too.
With rooms starting at $600, it’s not exactly the most budget-friendly room you’ll ever book, but it’s much more affordable than many of Paris’ other luxury hotels. Plus, maybe you’ll run into Dua Lipa, which is worth every penny spent.
