Kate Middleton offered a royal well wisher a little insight on how she’s feeling about King Charles’ coronation tomorrow while out visiting London’s Dog & Duck Pub in Soho on Thursday.
Mandy Leifheit of Seattle told People that she spoke to Kate there. “I asked if the kids were excited about the coronation, and she said, ‘They’re very excited. They had their rehearsal yesterday so they knew what they’d expect.’ She said she’s more nervous than the kids are since it’s such a big event for the kids to be part of. She said Louis will be there and that he’ll remember it.”
Kate’s oldest son, Prince George, 9, will be a Page of Honor to Prince Charles; her other two children, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, will just be attending the ceremony, while Kate’s husband, Prince William, who is now first in line to the throne, will also be participating with George. While William’s brother, Prince Harry, is in London for the coronation, he is not expected to have a role in the ceremony itself.
Omid Scobie spoke earlier this week on ITV’s “This Morning” Wednesday about how Harry truly won’t be staying long. The coronation falls on Harry’s son Archie’s 4th birthday, so Harry is eager to get back to California to be there for his family, too. Meghan, of course, is remaining in California.
“Sources close to Harry say that it’s in and out, to attend the ceremony and do what’s asked of him,” Scobie said. “I believe that he’s open to the fact that if something’s asked of him on the day then that could change things, but the timing of the trip, he’s keen to be back in California with his own family as well. It’s sort of juggling the two families, really.”
