Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with thick, voluminous hair. It’s not quite a hardship, but what can I say? We all want what we can’t have. My hair is stick straight, which really isn’t anything to complain about. In fact, it might be a blessing because I’m pretty lazy when it comes to hair styling. Since my hair is pretty low maintenance and easy to manage, I can get away with air-drying it and letting it do its thing most days.
But like I said, we want what we can’t have, right? So when I’m looking at my flat strands, I dream of big, bouncy hair. And when I see people with the perfect beachy waves or hair with a ton of body, I feel a tinge of envy. I especially feel it during those moments when I put in the time and effort to curl my hair only to see it lie as flat as a pancake in just a few hours.
