We here at Dread Central cannot get enough of From. The MGM+ series has been a horror phenomenon this year, with interest in the show both cultivated and reignited with the release of the show’s second season. Our own Sharai Bohannon has even listed the series as one of her favorite horror shows of the year so far, and there’s no doubt it’ll top several end of year lists as 2023 comes to a close. It’s truly an unsung gem, a show that genuinely earns its acclaim with gangbusters scare, a pitch-perfect central mystery, and sensational performances across the board. Season 3 when? Please.

If our word isn’t enough, even Horror master Stephen King has joined in on the chorus, calling it the show’s scares “beautifully handled.” Check out his tweet below:

The synopsis, per MGM+, “FROM unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the forest including the terrifying creatures that come out at night.” Check out the trailer below:

Two seasons of the show are available to stream now. Just don’t watch it at night—I guarantee you’ll have nightmares. Sort of akin to a horror-skinned Lost, From is as mysterious as it is terrifying. It’s pretty much all anyone here at Dread Central can talk about, and luckily for the show, audiences and the King of horror himself seem to agree.

From is currently available to stream on MGM+. The first season is available to stream on Prime Video. What do you think? Have you had a chance to check out From yet? If not, why haven’t you? Is the show as ooky-spooky terrifying as you’d hoped? Let me know over on Twitter @Chadiscollins. Keep the lights on.
