“We’re making a full-length Gorillaz film with Netflix,” Albarn revealed as for his reason for being in Los Angeles. “We’re having a writing session in Malibu this afternoon. It’s really exciting to do that. It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. It’s been through so many incarnations.”

Gorillaz is an English virtual band that was created by Blur frontman Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett in 1998, with Albarn as the primary music contributor. It is comprised of four animated members in the form of Noodle, who’s in charge of vocals, guitar, and keyboards; 2-D, who’s in charge of vocals and keyboards; bass guitar player, Murdoc Niccals; and drummer, Russel Hobbs. The band lives in a fictional universe that is shown in their music videos, interviews, and short cartoons.
