Video game fans will appreciate this week’s content debuting on Netflix.
On Thursday, Aug. 11, the streaming platform will release the third season — known as “Book 3” — of Dota: Dragon’s Blood, the animation series based on the 2013 MOBA game Dota 2. The series premiered on Netflix in 2021 and has been generally appreciated.
“The sweeping fantasy series tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world,” reads the official synopsis. “Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.”

Netflix will also drop the final season of Lock and Key on Wednesday, Aug. 10. The series currently stars Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke, Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke, and Aaron Ashmore as Duncan Locke. Joining them are Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Griffin Gluck as Gabe/Dodge, Petrice Jones as Scot, and Hallea Jones as Eden.
“In the coming-of-age supernatural series, after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death,” reads the synopsis. “As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.”
