Dreamin’ Wild director Bill Pohlad first had his mind blown by Radiohead’s seminal 1997 release OK Computer while working in Dublin, and it’s been a go-to album ever since.

On this bonus episode of The Spark Parade, Pohlad explains how, beyond finding pure enjoyment in the album, OK Computer also consistently provides inspiration when he’s editing his films.

“All the time, but particularly on Love & Mercy and Dreamin’ Wild, going to the edit room, I’d constantly play Radiohead — Kid A, and OK Computer,” he explains. “It never ceases to inspire me to push things in a different direction or try something different.”

Describing it as a truly cinematic record, the filmmaker cites it a significant influence on the final cut of Dreamin’ Wild, which tells the true story of musicians Donnie and Joe Emerson as their lost album gets rediscovered and brought to a new audience decades after its original release.
