Kim Gordon and J Mascis are the latest artists to contribute to the Sub Pop Singles Club, the indie label’s subscription-only 7” singles series. The rock vets teamed up for new songs “Abstract Blues” and “Slow Boy.” Check out the video for “Abstract Blues” (which features Fred Armisen) and listen to “Slow Boy” below.

“Abstract Blues” marks Gordon and Mascis’ first collaboration as a duo. They originally wrote and performed the song in 2020 for SMooCH, a benefit for Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Earlier this month, Gordon shared a new single, “Grass Jeans,” whose proceeds will benefit Fund Texas Choice, a nonprofit that pays for Texans’ travel to abortion clinics. She also recently announced a new book of essays about pioneering female artists, This Woman’s Work, which she will be co-editing.
