NeNe Leakes’ New Man Accused Of Rape, Assault
Finding love after the loss of your spouse isn’t easy. But RHOA alum NeNe Leakes looked happy and in love with a new man, years after her husband’s death. She was spotted at a Memphis Grizzlies game with a new man. She’s reportedly dating attorney Arthur Earl Horne III.
News of the couple’s PDA-filled night was quickly followed by a shocking report about NeNe Leakes’ new boo’s past. The lawyer is also an NBA sports agent. According to TMZ, he was arrested on charges of rape and assault several years ago.
The outlet reported that Arthur Earl Horne III’s ex-girlfriend made the accusations back in 2017. The ex told the police that they got into a fight in her home, during which she was beaten and sexually assaulted.
Arthur Earl Horne III was arrested on charges of aggravated rape, kidnapping, and assault. He was found not guilty on the more serious charges but found guilty of misdemeanor assault. The attorney was sentenced to 30 days in jail and a month of probation.
“With respect to the misdemeanor, Mr. Horne has always maintained his innocence and accepted the outcome of that proceeding while never wavering from the truth,” Arthur Earl Horne III’s law office said in response to TMZ‘s report. They added, “That matter was resolved by the courts years ago and he has nothing further to say about it.”
RHOA Alum Returning To Bravo After Lawsuit
NeNe Leakes left The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2020. The original cast member previously left in 2008 to pursue an acting career. After her second departure, she sued Bravo, claiming a racist and hostile work environment. However, she reportedly dropped the lawsuit after a settlement. Fans never thought they’d see her back on Bravo. But never say never.
But she’s not returning to RHOA. Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on Sunday, April 5. NeNe Leakes is among the fan favorites included in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th in honor of the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
