Wow. You don’t think that some things could ever happen. But, here we are. Winona Ryder is back as Lydia Deetz in the Beetlejuice sequel. Beetlejuice 2 is currently filming and some lucky photog managed to snap a shot of Winona Ryder in full Deetz hair doo and makeup.
Recently, there have been a ton of reveals including Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, Jenna Ortega and more. Also, we have Tim Burton back in the director’s seat as well as composer Danny Elfman.
It is jawdropping to see Ryder as Deetz again. She changed an entire generation and allowed them all to live in the comfort that a lot of us are “Strange and Unusual.”
The synopsis for Beetlejuice went like this:
After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.
Beetlejuice 2 is haunting theaters beginning September 6, 2024.
