Few brands have a greater hold on my life (or wallet) than Anthropologie. Every time the retailer releases a new batch of arrivals, I immediately find myself glued to my phone for hours on end, just endlessly scrolling (and yes, often impulse purchasing) the latest products — regardless of what category they’re in. And Anthro’s newest drop of fall fashion pieces has once again managed to grab my attention — though unlike my usual, disorganized shopping antics, I’m focused on Anthropologie’s new dress selection, in particular.

Since we’re in that awkward seasonal limbo of wrapping up summer but not quite being ready to embrace fall, I figure now’s the perfect time to restock my closet with a few transitional pieces to carry me through the next couple of months. Time and time again, dresses have proven to be my favorite transitional style — providing all the appeal of a put-together outfit without any of the hassle of having to actually put yourself together. And when it comes to dress shopping, I’ve found that you really can never go wrong with starting at Anthropologie. This season especially, the retailer is brimming with well-made, head-turning dresses that will constantly leave your friends asking, “OMG, where’d you get that?”

If you’d like a little guidance on how to also craft your own transitional wardrobe, I curated a shopping guide to the best dresses Anthropologie currently has to offer. Many of them come in extended sizing, so there are options for a variety of body types. I also love the unique fabrics and prints that are out right now. Take a look at these gorgeous pieces, and treat yourself to something fun.
