Camila Mendes’s Red Corset Dress Comes With a Cone-Shaped Bra

Camila Mendes made quite the sultry statement when she stepped out for Netflix’s “Do Revenge” screening party in LA at the Hollywood Roosevelt on Sept. 14. The 28-year-old actress, who stars in the film as Drea, opted for a red satin knee-length dress — a vintage piece from an old Jean Paul Gaultier and La Perla collaboration.

The look, sourced by her stylist, Molly Dickson, featured a corset insert with a cone-shaped bust and metal hooks clasped down the center, affixed to adjustable silk straps. Thick red piping down the sides framed slightly sheer panels, highlighting her curves, and the design boasted a strappy open back. Mendes teamed the number with silver metallic sandals, a matching top-handle purse, a pair of diamond hoops, and a thin ring on her pointer finger.

Dickson gave credit to the full glam squad in a post on Instagram, including Mendes’s makeup artist, Jen Tioseco, who provided a peachy glow and shimmering eyeshadow, and hairstylist Matthew Collins, who achieved a half-up, half-down situation by securing a twisted bun at the crown of her head. Mendes also sported a gold-tip french manicure.

Earlier in the evening, the “Riverdale” star walked the red carpet in a pear-green Versace set, consisting of a low-rise skirt, a corset top, and gloves that debuted in the fall/winter 2022 collection. At both the night’s first event and the reception, she posed with fellow cast member Maya Hawke, who flaunted varying shades of pink.

Ahead, see Mendes steal the spotlight in her boudoir-inspired dress from the archives.
