Hidden Imagery in The Taking of Deborah Logan Will Give

If there’s any film that deserves the honor of being dubbed the scariest of 2014 it’s without question The Taking of Deborah Logan, which is currently available on Tubi, Amazon Prime, Roku and many other digital platforms in the U.S. from Terror Films Releasing. Yes, it’s both a possession flick and a found footage affair, but it’s incredibly effective, packed with genuine scares that will keep you awake at night.

As if Adam Robitel’s directorial debut (read our interview with Adam!) wasn’t already scary enough, an eagle-eyed viewer over on Reddit just discovered two instances of chilling subliminal imagery in the film, which really seal the deal on it being the most terrifying of the year.

Much like The Exorcist, which chilled many to the core with quick flashes of a demonic face, The Taking of Deborah Logan is also home to flashes of pure nightmare fuel. The first one appears at around the 38-minute mark, when Deborah Logan is found in the attic…

Another Reddit user color corrected and inverted the image, to give you a better idea of what exactly you’re looking at. Whatever it is, it’s definitely nothing that was seen in the actual film…

Inverted Hidden Image

A bit later on, another mysterious image flashes for a split second, during a scene involving a fireplace – don’t want to say anything more than that, so as not to spoil the film for anyone who hasn’t yet seen it. Check it out…

Pretty freaky, eh? Needless to say, if you like being scared, you should probably turn off all the lights in your house some night soon and queue up The Taking of Deborah Logan. It’s one of the best of the year, and we’re pretty sure you’ll be thankful that you did.

Just don’t blame us for the nightmares…

Oh, and if you spot any other subliminal imagery while watching, let us know. We can be pretty sure that these two instances are merely the tip of this creepy little iceberg!
