Kit L.K. (he/it/they) came out as transgender in the tail end of 2014 and watched the culture around trans people go from “what does that mean?” to “public enemy #1.” Through that he embraced and learned as much as possible about the queer history that made everything from pride parades to being legally allowed to wear what we want possible. For the past three years, he and fellow LGBTQ+ co-host, Jenene, have been delving into the big and small of queer history and culture through their podcast Life Through a Queer Lens, while Kit has also been slowly building a year-round pride small business selling jewelry and pins.
