How did Julie Sherman Wolfe hook up with Ashley Williams and Alison Sweeney? The long-time Hallmark scribe revealed that they met at the premiere of one of her movies, A Holiday Spectacular. Wolfe revealed that at the party, Ashley Williams came up with the idea. Soon, Alison Sweeney and her ability to speak Spanish helped create the location. Suddenly, the trio started to work on the project.
However, things were going swimmingly until the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Then, things went to a halt. While this delayed the movies, this just made them better. Best of all was that Julie was able to go to Barcelona and watch them film this movie.
When asked if she did any writing on set, she revealed that everything was set before they arrived to set. Furthermore, she also shared something that is rarely revealed. Julie explained that she has to be careful with what she includes in the script. That is because the crew and director will do everything in their power to make that happen. Therefore, she has to be thoughtful about those scene details.
One of the biggest pleasures of making this movie was watching Alison Sweeney and Ashley Williams act in this movie. Best of all, it was wonderful watching this friendship continue to blossom as they worked to make these movies.
